Day 1: Negombo - Sigiriya

  • Saddle up and embark on your Sri Lankan expedition, journeying north towards the majestic Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • En route, discover hidden gems like spice gardens or witness the intricate artistry of batik workshops. (Optional)
  • Arrive in Sigiriya and settle into your comfortable accommodation.
  • In the afternoon, conquer the awe-inspiring Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient citadel perched atop a dramatic 200-meter rock. Be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic vistas from the summit.

Day 2: Sigiriya - Knuckles Mountain Range

  • Sightseeing:
    • Ride through Habarana and Matale, surrounded by vibrant green countryside.
    • Stop for lunch in Matale and visit the Aluvihare Rock Temple.
    • Reach the Knuckles Mountain Range, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, where you can enjoy trekking amidst the rich biodiversity and misty mountains.

Day 3: Knuckles to Meemure (Charity Day)

  • Ride deeper into the untouched wilderness of the Knuckles Range, where the hidden gem of Meemure awaits!.
  • Immerse yourself in a remote paradise as you journey to Meemure for a day of meaningful charity and cultural connection.
  • Route: Knuckles → Meemure
  • Distance: ~40 km (2-3 hours; rough terrain)
  • Charity Work:
    • Arrive in Meemure, a remote village nestled within the Knuckles Range.
    • Engage in charity activities such as helping with school renovations, or education workshops with the local community.
  • Cultural Experience: In the evening, enjoy traditional Sri Lankan food and cultural exchanges with the villagers.

Day 4: Meemure to Kandy

  • Vibrant charm, this route is a journey through Sri Lanka’s heart and soul.
  • Experience the scenic splendor and cultural richness as you travel from the tranquil village of Meemure to the historic city of Kandy.
  • Embark on a breathtaking adventure from Meemure’s lush landscapes to Kandy’s captivating heritage.
  • Route: Meemure → Kandy
  • Distance: ~85 km (3-4 hours)

    • Wind through the mountain roads towards Kandy.
    • Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic, an important religious site for Buddhists.

Day 5: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

    • Begin the ride through scenic, misty hills and sprawling tea estates.
    • Visit a tea factory to learn about Sri Lanka’s famous Ceylon tea.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya to Ella (via Horton Plains National Park)

  • Start your ride with a scenic journey through the rolling hills of Horton Plains National Park.
  • Experience the unique cloud forest and grassland landscapes, home to stunning wildlife.
  • Stop at World’s End for panoramic views that stretch for miles.
  • Descend towards Ella, passing tea estates and waterfalls, with the famous Nine Arches Bridge awaiting your arrival.
    • Route: Nuwara Eliya → Horton Plains → Ella
    • Distance: ~80 km (3-4 hours)
    • Sightseeing:
      • Visit Horton Plains National Park and trek to World’s End, where dramatic cliffs offer panoramic views.
      • Continue to Ella, famous for its laid-back vibe and stunning landscapes.
      • In Ella, visit the Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak for easy hikes with rewarding views.

Day 7: Ella to Udawalawe

  • Ride through lush greenery and tea plantations as you leave the cool hills of Ella. Enjoy winding roads with scenic views of small villages and cascading waterfalls.
  • Pass through Wellawaya, a charming town nestled in the countryside. As you descend, the landscape shifts to warmer plains and rural villages. 
  • Arrive at Udawalawe, famous for its national park and abundant wildlife, including elephants.
    • Route: Ella → Udawalawe (via Wellawaya)
    • Distance: ~115 km (3-4 hours)
    • Sightseeing:
      • Ride through picturesque Wellawaya and rural landscapes.
      • Visit Ravana Falls on the way, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Sri Lanka.
      • Arrive at Udawalawe National Park for an afternoon wildlife safari, where you can spot elephants, and birdlife.

Day 8: Udawalawe to Mirissa

  • Start your ride from Udawalawe, passing through vast grasslands and local farmlands.
  • Experience smooth roads with little traffic, making for a relaxing journey through the countryside. Pass through small, traditional Sri Lankan villages, offering glimpses of local life and culture.
  • Cross rivers and lush green fields, surrounded by tropical flora.
  • Ride towards the southern coast, where the scenery transitions to coastal landscapes.
  • End your ride in Mirissa, a popular beach town known for its vibrant nightlife and whale-watching tours.
    • Route: Udawalawe → Mirissa
    • Distance: ~125 km (3-4 hours)
    • Sightseeing:
      • Head towards the southern coast, passing small towns and lush greenery.
      • Arrive at Mirissa, a beach paradise, known for its golden sands and palm trees.
      • Spend the afternoon relaxing by the beach or go whale watching in the Indian Ocean (seasonal).

Day 9: Mirissa to Galle

  • Begin your ride from Mirissa, cruising along the scenic southern coastline. Pass through charming coastal villages with colorful fishing boats lining the shores.
  • Enjoy the cool sea breeze and stretches of road with stunning ocean views.  Stop at Weligama Bay, famous for surfing and stilt fishermen.

      • Explore Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy the colonial architecture.
      • Stroll along the old Dutch ramparts overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Day 10: Galle to Deniyaya

  • Depart from Galle and head inland, leaving the coastal scenery behind. Ride through scenic countryside roads lined with palm trees and lush greenery.
  • Pass small villages and begin ascending into the cooler highlands as you approach the Sinharaja Forest Reserve.
  • Experience occasional waterfalls and streams along the way, perfect for quick stops.
  • Arrive in Deniyaya, a gateway to the Sinharaja Rainforest, renowned for its wildlife and natural beauty.
    • Route: Galle → Deniyaya (via Southern Scenic Roads)
    • Distance: ~100 km (2-3 hours)
    • Sightseeing:
      • Ride through tea plantations and waterfalls.
      • Arrive in Deniyaya, located near the Sinharaja Rainforest.
      • Enjoy an evening nature walk or a guided tour in the Sinharaja Forest Reserve, a biodiversity hotspot.

Day 11: Deniyaya to Negombo

  • Start your ride from Deniyaya, surrounded by lush tea plantations and misty mountain views. Descend from the hills, passing through scenic countryside roads dotted with small villages. 
  •  Ride alongside picturesque rivers and waterfalls as you leave the highlands behind. Pass through bustling towns like Matara or Pelmadulla, where you can experience local markets.
  • Continue your journey through the southern lowlands, with stretches of open road perfect for smooth riding. Cross the Kelani River, marking your transition towards the western region of Sri Lanka.
  • Ride through suburban areas as you approach the more populated regions near Negombo. End your journey in Negombo, a vibrant coastal town known for its beaches and lagoon, offering a relaxing end to your tour.

        • Final evening in Negombo, relax at the beach or explore the local fish market.
