Day 1 : Negombo

Arriving at Katunayake airport, we transfer you to the hotel where you can enjoy the interesting coastal town of Negombo. As our first exercise, we visit the fishing village and return to rest. We overnight stay in Negombo beach.

Day 02 Kandy

Setting off from Negombo we head inland and north-east for the famous city of Kandy. En route we stop at Pinnawala elephant orphanage where dozens of elephants come down to the river to bathe each day. There is an opportunity to ride on an elephant. From Pinnawala the road winds up into the foothills to Kandy, home to the world-famous Perahara held in August. This unique Buddhist festival includes long processions of dancers and beautifully decorated elephants. There are fire-dances, whip-dances, Kandyan dances and various other cultural dances. The elephants are usually adorned with lavish garments. We stay overnight in Kandy.

Day 03 Hunnas Falls, Royal Botanical Gardens.

After breakfast, it’s back on the bikes for a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya in Kandy. This beautiful park & gardens is renowned for its flora and attracts more than 2m visitors annually. It is home to more than 4,000 species of plants including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. Leaving Kandy we climb up through tea estates to beautiful Hunnas Falls Hotel. The hotel is high in the hills next to a lake with panoramic views of hazy mountains. Night at Hunnas Falls Hotel.

Day 04 Knuckles Range

It’s days like today that make you remember why you started riding in the first place. Today is Jungle Ride!!! Stunning rural scenery, winding misty mountain passes and adventure at every turn. After riding east from Kandy we go off the beaten track into areas few tourists ever see. As we climb higher and higher we go deep into dense mountain jungle giving an atmospheric backdrop to our motor biking adventure. .

Day 5 Ramboda Falls

We’re back on the motorbikes today making our way to Ramboda Falls Hotel. The landscape will continue to amaze you with tea plantations, lush mountains, steep precipices and waterfalls serving as the backdrop for your ride. We’ll stop off at Ramboda Falls, a series of 4 waterfalls fed by clear mountain springs where we sleep overnight.

Day 6 Ella

After breakfast we set off to ride across the highest part of Sri Lanka’s mountain massif. The day includes visits to a working tea factory, the Colonial architecture of “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya) and a steep climb up to Horton Plains National Park with its stunning World’s End lookout. After a relaxing hike across the top of the world, we wind our way back down through thick forests to Haputale to visit Lipton’s Seat. We end our journey at Ella where we spend the night.

Day 7 Yala

From Ella the road snakes down through the mountains onto the great southern plains leading to the Indian Ocean coast. We stop en route to visit Ravana Ella waterfall then head for the historic Buddhist rock carvings at Buduruwagala, deep in the jungle. Following newly-resurfaced roads we ride east from Wellawaya to Buttala then south to historic Kataragama, passing through national parkland teeming with elephants. We spend the night in Tissamaharama.

Day 8/9 Mirissa

We trade in the motorbikes for 4WD jeeps today for a safari-style excursion through Yala National Park. Yala is home to a mind-boggling variety of wildlife species from butterflies to leopards. Get up close to some of these exotic animals and marvel at the astounding beauty of Sri Lanka as you travel through the park in your jeep. Leave the jungles and mountains to follow the majestic coastline of southern Sri Lanka to Mirissa. Having made our way through Sri Lanka’s interior, today it’s time to return to the coast. Shortly after leaving Yala we’ll hit the shoreline and then head west around the southern tip of the country. The ride is an easy one, flat quiet roads which run parallel to the sea, but nevertheless spectacular.In the afternoon we’ll reach Mirissa beach where we spend two nights relaxing in style

Day 10 Mirissa Beach rest

Today is a rest day although for those who are interested Mirissa is a famous launching point for whale-watching trips. Huge whales pass just south of Mirissa on their annual migration. An alternative is a short ride along the coast to the historic city of Galle with its enormous Dutch Fort. On the way you can enjoy the spectacle of Sri Lanka’s famous stilt fishermen standing on wooden poles rising from the ocean.

Day 11 Sinharaja Rain Forest

After our well-earned rest it is back on the bikes to head inland to famous Sinharaja Forest Reserve, one of the last pieces of natural rainforest remaining in Sri Lanka. Sinharaja is home to an astonishing variety of birds including famous feeding flocks which roam through the forest. The hilly virgin rainforest was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility. It was designated a World Biosphere Reserve in 1978 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. The reserve's name translates as Kingdom of the Lion.

Day 12 Kithulgala

From Sinharaja we ride round the edge of the Highlands to Kitulgala, location for Sir David Lean’s famous 1957 film The Bridge on the River Kwai. Traces of the bridge built for the film still remain. Capping off our two-week adventure we spend the day white-water rafting and canyoning. Under the guidance of expert paddlers, we’ll white-water raft down the Kelani River passing through class 3 rapids and with occasional swimming breaks. Back on dry land, we’ll do a short excursion up a narrow canyon near the Kelani River.With full harnesses and expert guides we’ll descend deep into the canyon jumping into plunge pools along the way.

Day 13 Negombo. / Departure.

Today is your last day. On the last day we would be heading to Negombo / Colombo Airport on your choice. On the way we would be showing you rubber estates and Coco plantations. Then we would take you to the beach hotel / Airport where you can rest / fly with all these exceptional memories.
